Large stainless steel wing
A large thick stainless steel wing rolls with its wide flat surface to create a powerful crawling action.
The screw protruding from the body prevents wing from locking.
Tuning & adjustment
The wing may be distorted after making many casts. You can tune it to fix it or to adjust it to give it a different angle and sound.
Tail & Blade
The tail section that follows behind the bait as it crawls on these surface an the Colorado blade (NZ crawler # 4 / Jr. # 2) spins as it follows the rest of the bait. The blade generates flaps and scratching souths as it hits the body. A propeller can be attached the tail section for more appeal.
A swivel is used for the hook eye, which greatly improves the hookup rate and also reduces fouled hooks.
Action
The rotating action of the blades turns water inside out as it spins. This method gets bites and is how it is fished by Lake Hibara Guide Keiichiro Watanabe.
